Context: Infrastructure and brand alignment for high-traffic environments.
The Brief & Research: An analysis of a major athletic footwear and sports brand's presence at marathons and running events revealed a distinct market gap: while the client's performance gear was premium, the temporary on-site event furniture lacked design integrity and structural quality.
The Design Solution: A highly versatile modular furniture system composed of circular benches designed to handle heavy public use while encouraging collective interaction. The primary innovation lies in its multi-environment adaptability:
• Material Engineering: To solve the challenge of transitioning between rugged outdoor race tracks and refined indoor retail stores, the system features an internal structural frame made of lightweight, weather-resistant aluminum for easy transport.
• Operational Efficiency: The core is wrapped in a durable, high-performance outdoor fabric cover utilizing an integrated zipper system. This allows the upholstery to be easily attached, detached, maintained, or swapped depending on the retail venue.
